Welcome to our summer school!
The Digital Film School is a summer school. It specialises in recreational filmmaking courses for teenagers and adults. Our courses last one week and cover all the basics of filmmaking; screenwriting, producing, directing, camera (HDV camera), lighting, sound and editing. The courses are fun and dynamic with lots of hands on workshops and group work. Students develop the necessary skills to write, direct and edit their own cinematic epic.

2009 Courses completed
It was another great summer of courses for us here at the Digital Film School. Some great films were made this summer and as always, we will be getting original music composed for all films before our Annual Showcase in October. Please check this website for further updates on the showcase.

News
The 2009 Cork Youth Film Festival awarded 'Evil Alien Moon Ninjas' and 'Heads or Tails' prizes in the under 12s and under 18s catagories respectivly. 3 of our films were selected to be screened at the final of the 2009 Fresh Film Festival (Ireland's National Youth Film Festival). 'I am what I am','Pins and Needles' and 'Evil Alien Moon Ninjas'. All of these great films can be viewed in the gallery section of this website. Keep checking our awards page for updates on how our films are faring at festivals!
